WIECHMANN, Ruth Margaret - Of Flint Township, age 87, passed away Monday, February 15, 2021.
According to Ruth’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Flint.
Ruth was born in Birch Run, Michigan on June 18, 1933, the daughter of the late Wellington and Jessie (Truckner) Leach. Ruth graduated from Saginaw High School, Class of 1951. She graduated from Central Michigan University, Class of 1955. On August 6, 1955, she married Robert H. Wiechmann and he preceded her in death on February 22, 2020. Ruth taught grade school briefly in Genesee County. She was a substitute teacher for many years for Swartz Creek Community Schools. Ruth enjoyed reading, traveling, walking, and all family activities.
Ruth will be greatly missed by her three children; Sandra Snyder, Robert Wiechmann Jr., and Thomas Wiechmann; her two grandsons, Ryan Wiechmann, and Sean (Emily) Wiechmann; and two great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by brothers; Norbert (Dorothy Leach, John (Gayle) Leach and Joseph (Susan) Leach; and several nieces and nephews.
Ruth was also preceded in death her brother, David.
