DEMOTT, Steven Arthur – of Leonard, Michigan, age 74, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022. A Funeral Service will be held at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, Michigan on Monday, June 13, 2022 at 3:00pm; Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Steve was born in Flint, Michigan on April 14, 1948; the son of Edward and Viola Peck. He was a survivor of polio, scarlet fever, the rare genetic disorder Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Deficiency, and a fighter throughout his entire life. He continued to smile throughout his many trials. Steve adored his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters: Sheryl (Larry) Perkins and Holly (Carlos) Lopez Matamoros; step-daughters: Trinity and Tiffany; his grandchildren: Joline, Andy, Caden, Colin, Sydney, Devon, Kenneth, Rylan, Ashley, Brianna, Angel, Jacob, and Russell; great-granddaughter, Ericca; sister, Sarah (the late Bill) Anderson; nephews: Tom and Kenny; nieces, Tara and Trish; his partner of many years, Irene “Sammie” Perlberg; along with many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Viola; brother, Forest “Butch” DeMott; and granddaughter, Betty Perkins.
