VASSAR - Lora I. Moffat, age 82, our determined, loving, and caring aunt and friend passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at her home.
Lora I. Rosencrants was born on March 23, 1940 in Tuscola, MI to parents Kenneth & Lola (Hart) Rosencrants. She was raised alongside her brothers, Tom and Dennis, and graduated from Frankenmuth High School with the class of 1958. Lora met James Moffat; they dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on May 26, 1962 at the Tuscola Community Church in Tuscola. Together they raised their sons, Todd and Keith, and shared 40 years of marriage before James' passing in 2003. James and Lora loved to travel the country in their RV. She enjoyed gardening, trips to Las Vegas, and was an animal lover. Above all, Lora was devoted to and loved her family deeply.
Left to cherish her memory are niece and nephews: Doyle Bills, Debbie Ripley, Greg, Brett, and Thomas Rosencrants; great-nieces and nephews: Colleen, Steven, and Amy; Thomas and Jordan Bills; Aubrey and Thomas Rosencrants II; Alec, Jackson, and Addalyn Rosencrants; Samantha, Casy, Ashley, and Carter Rosencrants; great-great-nephews, Toby and Xandyr; as well as many extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Moffat; sons, Todd and Keith Moffat; parents, Kenneth and Lola Rosencrants; brothers, Tom and Dennis Rosencrants.
Private arrangements have been entrusted to Hanlin Funeral Home - Vassar.
