Flavin, Veronica Marie- Age 91, of Flint Township, died March 2, 2024 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. (The service will be live streamed and can be viewed via the link on Veronica's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com) Visitation will be held 12 PM Sunday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery 4200 N. Belford Rd. Holly. Veronica was born April 15, 1932 in Flint. She married Daniel A. Gaglio on September 22, 1951, he preceded her in death on July 17, 1999 at the age of 73. Veronica was remarried to Richard D. Flavin on November 10, 1984, he preceded her September 6, 2005 at the age of 87. Daniel and Richard both served during WWII in the United States Navy. Veronica graduated from Dye High School June 14, 1951. Her high school activities were Choir and Operatta; High school motto was "if silence were golden, she would be a millionaire." She was an avid seamstress and crochet crafter who loved to share her work with children and grandchildren. Veronica enjoyed travel, karaoke, bingo, cards, puzzles and spending time with friends. We are very grateful for her time at Genesee Gardens Reirement Home, staff and friends, Mothers and Daughters caregivers and Compassus Hospice. She is survived by her children, Antoinette Garty of Grand Blanc, Regina Barnes of Swartz Creek, Michael Gaglio of Grand Blanc, Theresa Britton of Portage; 10 grandchildren, Kristal, Kevin, Amanda, Stacey, Eric, Amy, Katrina, Danielle, Vincent, Melissa, and Jennifer; 23 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren. Veronica was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine Bignall Sims; father, William Sims; sister, Dorothy Teets; brother, Bill Sims; sons, Joseph Gaglio, Daniel Gaglio; daughter, Deborah Baldwin; granddaughter, Ebonie Baldwin.
