SPARKS, PATRICIA JEAN “PAT”- age 98 of Flint, Michigan went home to be with her heavenly Father on May 31, 2025, at Regency of Grand Blanc.
Services will be at 4 pm June 6, 2025, at Kirkridge Presbyterian Church. Reverend Kate Morrison officiating.
Patricia will be laid to rest beside her husband at Sunset Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.
Patricia was born in Flint Michigan on March 1, 1927, to the late (Serle) Rex and Carolyn Orilla (Alburtus) Richardson.
She married the love of her life Paul Henry Sparks on June 9, 1946, at Asbury Methodist Church in Flint, Michigan.
Paul was the son of Mason and Nina (Armstrong)Sparks. He preceded her on November 10,1997.
She was a charter member of Farnumwood Presbyterian Church, where her and her husband Paul served as deacons. Most recently Pat was a member of Kirkridge Presbyterian Church of Grand Blanc.
Pat was a graduate of Central High School and worked at A & W, Bell Telephone and Mott Community College.
She cherished the memories of her brother, Clifford, her stepsiblings, Carol Sue, Andrew, Karl and Richard Friend, and her sisters and brothers in law, Mildred (Edwin) Okonowski, Marcella (John) Vallaire, John (Dorothy) Sparks and James (Brynina) Sparks, stepdaughter, Johna Newman and step granddaughter Pamela Chomp.
She is survived by her dear daughter, Lynne (Jim) Stewart, her beloved granddaughter Jamie L. Stewart- Kennedy and her endearing great-grandson, Noah H. Kennedy.
