Jane Marie O’Deay, of Flushing, Michigan, died Friday, November 19, 2021, at her sons home in Corpus Christi, Texas. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at St. Robert Catholic Church in Flushing. Fr. Prahbu Laka will officiate. Burial to follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Robert Catholic Church.
Jane was born in Saginaw, Michigan on April 18, 1930, the daughter of Frank and Esther (Petre) Foy. She married the love of her life, Charles O’Deay on October 25, 1951. She moved to Flint in 1953. She worked at Kroger for 15 years. First in Saginaw then in Flint at the North Flint Plaza and the Pasadena and Clio Road stores. She resigned in 1963, after the birth of her son to dedicate her life to home making. Jane moved to Flushing in 1978. She had been in Corpus Christi since September, 2021. Jane was a member of Saint Agnes Parish for over 30 years and Saint Luke’s for 25 years. After they closed she attended Saint John Vianney for several years. Jane was famous for her Christmas cookies, party mix and homemade breads and rolls. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
Jane is survived by her son, Terence O’Deay, U.S. Navy (RET); grandchildren, Ringo, Shienna, Charlete and Patrice; seven great-grandchildren; special sisters in-law, Elaine, Roberta and Esther Foy; several special nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles O’Deay and her four brothers, Jack Foy, Edward Foy, Albert William Foy and Patrick Foy. |
