SMITH, Renae L. – of Clio, Michigan, formerly of Virginia Beach, Virginia, age 47, died on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at McLaren Flint. Honoring her wishes, cremation will be taking place. A Celebration of Renae’s Life will be held at 1PM, Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Lake Road Baptist Church – 2007 Lake Rd., in Clio. The family will receive visitors at the church on Saturday from 12PM until the time of service at 1PM.
Renae was born July 14, 1974, in Flint, Michigan, to Bruce and Kathleen (Williams) Monroe. She was a former member of Lake Road Baptist Church in Clio. Renae loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
Surviving are: Daughter, Katie Bell Maxson; Mother, Kathleen Horton; Sisters: Tonya (Mark) Totten, Sharon (Jim) Oglesby, and Jenna Horton; Nieces and nephews: Courtney Oglesby, Kailyn Totten, Joshua Totten (Kassandra Littlejohn), James “Jimmy” Oglesby III (Richard Wichert III), Denae Horton, Michael Horton, Justin Horton, and Shelby (Cam) Thompson; Special friend, Lisa Jamrog; Many other loving family members and dear friends. Renae was preceded in death by: Father, Bruce Monroe; Grandparents: Robert and Dorothy Williams. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful nurses at McLaren ICU for all their love and care.
