Carter, James M. Of Flushing, age 70, died, Monday, October 12, 2020, at Saginaw Veteran’s Hospital. A private interment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
James was born in Flint, Michigan on December 25, 1949, the son of William Douglas and Donna LaVonne (Brewer) Carter. James proudly served in the U.S. Army in the Medical Corp during Vietnam, receiving the Purple Heart Award. He was a hard worker. James was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. As an artist, he also enjoyed doing artwork.
James is survived by his son, Timothy and wife Shondi Carter; grandson, Aidan; sisters, Nanette and husband Dale Gray, Judy and husband Jarrett Meadows, Tammy Brezzell; brothers, Bill and wife Bonnie Carter, Chuck and wife Julie Carter, Ed Papp; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
