THOMAS, Phyllis E. (Knight) - Of Burton, age 91, died Monday, February 14, 2022 at Hospice House of Shiawassee County. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 4pm Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Jeffrey Glover officiating. Cremation has taken place. Contributions may be directed to Hospice House of Shiawassee County. Visitation 2pm Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Phyllis was born in Ortonville, Minnesota on July 18, 1930, the daughter of the late Phillip and Elvira (Thompson) Knight. She was a founding member of Our Risen Lord Lutheran Church. Phyllis was a loving wife, wonderful mother and the kindest woman that ever blessed our presence. Surviving are children, Kimberly (Robert) Gazso, Clare (Robert) Pardee, Steven Thomas and Blaine (Melissa) Prieur; grandchildren, Jeffery (Kate), William (Casey), Jimmy (Tonie), Toni, Tom (Courtney) and Maygen; 15 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Thomas. Special thank you to the many caregivers through the years that were there for care and support.
