Marian J. Wilcox of Davison, Michigan, age 86, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023 in Avon Lake, Ohio.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm Monday December 4, 2023 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 Dayton St. Davison, Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski, Celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow at St. John Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 12:00 noon Monday until time of services at the church. Marian was a long-time member of St. John Catholic Church and loved singing in the choir. She sang at many funerals as well. Those desiring may make contributions in Marian’s memory to the St. John’s Choir.
Marian was born in Bay City, Michigan, the daughter of the late Thomas and Jennie Duley and had resided in the Davison area most of her life. She married the love of her life Ronald Lee Wilcox on January 9, 1960 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on May 10, 2015. Marian was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a devout catholic and an active member of St. John Catholic Church. She retired as a registered nurse then became an avid golfer and even got a hole-in-one! Marian and Ron wintered in New Port Richey, Florida, enjoyed their summers at Higgins Lake and loved to travel. Marian will be remembered for her loving heart and kindness to others.
Marian leaves to cherish her memory, children: Ron (Beth) Wilcox, Tom (Debi) Wilcox, Debbie (David) Moore, and Suzan (Vic) Rosendale. She also leaves her loving grandchildren: Karey Wilcox, Allissa Schmitt, Jessica Moore, Sara Moore, Jonathon Rosendale, Collin Rosendale, Nic Rosendale, and great grandchildren; Madison Wilcox, Teagan and Abigail Niznik, Michael and Daniel Schmitt. She is also survived by her siblings: Jeannine (Leo) Persails, Jim (Jan) Duley, Cathy (Tony) Carobine, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by brother Tommie Duley.
