WILLIAMS, Mary T. (Jones) – of Davison, MI, age 91, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Westlake Health Campus in Commerce, MI. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 2 PM Saturday, May 20, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. The family will receive visitors 1-2 PM Saturday, May 20, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart, www.greynun.org, or St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, in Mary’s memory.
Mary was born in Buffalo, NY on December 30, 1925, daughter of the late Thomas and Emily (Wick) Jones. Mrs. Williams attended High School at Holy Angels Academy and received her Registered Nurse Degree from The Sisters Hospital in Buffalo, NY. She lived in Buffalo, NY before moving to Davison, MI in 1969 with her family. Mary was active on the Davison Beautification Committee, the Optimists Women’s Club, St. John’s Gardening and a long time nurse at Wheelock General Hospital in Goodrich, MI where she retired in 1991. She recently relocated to Waterford Twp., MI to be closer to her Michigan family.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her 3 daughters, Suzanne (Robert) McDonald of Libertyville, IL, Linda (R. Andrew) Shallman of Highland, MI and Carol (John) Pavetto of Wichita, KS; 7 grandchildren, Allison, Keegan, Kelly, Andrea, Cailin, Giovanni and Dominic; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, David R. Williams in 1997.
