STOCKTON, Elaine – of Burton, age 82, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 5 PM; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. The family will receive visitors from 2 PM until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Elaine Frances DuCharme was born on August 31, 1942 in Flint, the only daughter of the late Joseph and Evelyn (Sadlow) DuCharme. On August 1, 1964 she married William Stockton who would be her constant companion for the next 60 years. Elaine and Bill were the heart of their family and friends, joyful and fun loving.
Elaine loved to play baseball and cards with her grandchildren. Her cinnamon rolls, lasagna, and barbecue ribs are legendary. Often cooking with her brothers, she passed on the love of cooking and feeding a family to her three sons and eight grandchildren.
Elaine cherished family life and made it richer with her easy-going good humor and generous spirit. She will be missed.
Elaine is survived by her loving husband, Bill Stockton; children, Donald James (Bridget) Stockton, Michael William (Julie) Stockton, Brian Joseph (Megan) Stockton; grandchildren, William (Catherine), Samuel, Evan, Benjamin, Vincent, Gracie, Cameron, Ruby; two brothers, Joseph (Caroline) DuCharme and Mark (Maureen Wing) DuCharme; sister-in-law, Sandra DuCharme; many other loving family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James and David DuCharme.
