Doris I. Pratt, passed away in her sleep, in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior in Naples, Florida, January 13, 2023. Doris loved her God and was a true example of a Christian. Doris lived in Swartz Creek her entire married life and wintered in Naples, Florida.
Doris was born on February 6, 1930 in Flint, MI to Ray and Susie (Garlock) Foster. She graduated from Dye School in 1949. She met Delbert Pratt at West Flint Church of the Nazarene. They married in Angola, Indiana on August 5, 1950. Delbert and Doris were married for 70 loving years before his passing in October 2020. Together they raised five children, Diana (David) Randall of Naples, FL, Deborah Cramer (Steve) of The Villages, FL, Dawn (Joseph) Genovesi of Swartz Creek, MI, Denise (Frank) Swyrtek of Swartz Creek, MI and Dell (Leigh) Pratt of Swartz Creek, MI, and a daughter-in-law, Michele Pratt. There are 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; and surviving brother Keith Foster of Utah.
Doris is preceded in death by parents Ray and Susie Foster, husband, Delbert, sister, Leah Cardinal, brothers, Wayne Foster, Ray Foster, Robert Foster, granddaughter, Katheryn Randall and grandson, Joshua Randall; her beloved dog Nickie.
Doris and Delbert owned and operated Del Pratt Builders and Developers Inc. Doris was an animal lover and loved playing games with her children and her grandchildren. Doris had a beautiful smile and an infectious laugh. She will be missed by all who knew her. She also leaves behind her loving dog, Abby.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Burial will follow in Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM Tuesday. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
