MOBILIO, Laverne “Joyce” - Of Goodrich, age 98, died Sunday, July 10, 2022 at her residence.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton.
Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Wounded Warrior Project.
Visitation 4-8pm Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Visitation 10am Tuesday at church until the time of the Mass.
Joyce was born in Gwinn, Michigan on February 4, 1924, the daughter of the late John and Doris (Menard) Willette. She was a graduate of Bendle High School. On October 31, 1942, Joyce married Ralph J. Mobilio in Flint. They were married 65 years before his passing. Joyce was employed with General Motors Fisher 1 in the Shipping Department during World War II.
Surviving are daughter, Cheryl and husband Lewis Cantin;
grandchildren, Scott Mobilio and Rachel, Renae and husband Dwayne Jewell, Stacie and husband Larry Tadajewski, Stephen and wife Emily Cantin, Jason and wife Erin Cantin and Seth Mobilio;
and 10 great-grandchildren.
Joyce was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, children, Ralph John Mobilio, Karen Rucker, son-in-law, Bill Rucker, and sister, Ione.
