WILCOX, Ray Eugene – of Davison, MI, age 82, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022 at his residence. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, April 8, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor E. Enwood Nevis officiating. Interment immediately following the service in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Thursday, April 7, 2022 and 10-11 AM Friday, April 8, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to METAvivor, www.metavivor.org/take-action/donate/, in memory of Ray’s daughter-in-law, Stacey Wilcox.
Ray was born in Flint, Michigan on August 11, 1939, son of the late Lyle and Elnita (Archambault) Wilcox. He married Grace E. Smith on January 11, 1958 in Flint, Michigan. Ray was a proud man, always hard at work whether it was welding at A.C. Spark Plug, puttering in his home, working on his cabin on Drummond Island, or helping his children and grandchildren with home improvement projects. The only thing that would stop Ray from his work was his devotion to his family. Ray would drop everything to spend time with his beloved wife Grace (Earlene), his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Many have missions in life and Ray knew his, to honor his wife and care for his family.
Ray is survived by his wife, Grace Wilcox; 4 children, Ray Wilcox Jr., Roy (Dawn) Wilcox, Diana (Scott) Stephens and Michael Wilcox; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 3 siblings, Lyle Charles, Mary Van Kuren, and Theresa (Roger) Richards; many other loving family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Elnita Wilcox; daughter-in-law, Stacey Wilcox; 3 siblings, Demerise Boggs, Delores Wilcox and Roy Wilcox.
