SHIELDS, Cynthia S. “Cindy” - Of Flint, age 66, passed away Friday, November 12, 2021 at her residence.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 3pm Friday, November 19, 2021 at St John the Evangelist Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison,
Rev. Father Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family for Cindy’s grandchildren’s college fund.
Visitation 5-8pm Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Thursday evening at the funeral home. Visitation 2pm Friday at church until the time of the Mass.
Cindy was born in Flint, Michigan on August 20, 1955 the daughter of the late Donald and Mary Ann (Durnan) Carlson. Cindy understood the meaning of life is family and she dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved her coffee.
Surviving are husband, Randy Shields;
Children, Randy Shields Jr., and Carrie (Kristopher) Harding;
Grandchildren, Lilyana and Liam;
Brothers, Ricky (Annice) Carlson, Gregory (Terry) Carlson and Gerald (Tina) Carlson;
And beloved dog, Roxie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald A. Carlson and Mary Ann Carlson, sons, Nicholas and Rodney Shields and brother, Donnie Carlson.
