CLAPP, Barbara Ann (Vargo) – of Burton, MI, age 84, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her close family on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc, MI 48439; Rev. Fr. Joe Krupp celebrant. The family will receive visitors an hour before Mass at the church. A celebration of Life dinner will be held 4 PM at Brickstreet of Grand Blanc, 1223 E. Grand Blanc Rd., Grand Blanc, MI 48439. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ProMedica Heartland Hospice, in Barbara’s memory.
Barbara was born in Flint, MI on April 17, 1938, daughter of the late Steve and Jolan (Slezak) Vargo. She married Donald Clapp in March of 1957, in Angola, IN
Barbara is survived by her husband of 65 years, Donald Clapp; 3 children, Kimberly Martin, Kirk (Kathy) Clapp and Kevin Clapp; 4 grandchildren, Kasey Clapp, Kelly Clapp, Cooper Clapp and Riley Clapp; feline companion, Spotty; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Jolan Vargo; 2 siblings, Goldie Pelkey and Steve Vargo.
