William Wayne Barnett, age 59, of Flint, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Willowbrook Manor in Flint. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, October 13, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Prior to the service, visitation will be available from 5:00 PM until the start of the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
William was born on April 25, 1964 in Flint and was the son of the late Robert and Barbara (Armstrong) Barnett. He graduated from Carman High School with the class of 1982. Throughout his career, William worked for Carriage Town Ministries for many years and later as a self-contractor. He took great pride in being a loving father and grandfather. In his leisure time, William enjoyed various outdoor activities including the Ohio State Buckeyes, racing motorcycles, pheasant hunting and small engine repair.
He is survived by his children, Cody (Erica) Barnett and Cassidy Barnett (Connor McGuire), as well as his grandchildren, Juliana, Ayda and Deaken. William is also survived by the mother of his children, Sheryl Herm-Adair; and his siblings Barry and Pam Barnett.
