LARSON, Rosalyn “Roz” – of Davison, age 90, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023. A Private family service has been held at Allen Funeral Home. Burial has taken place in St. John Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Residential Home Health and Residential Hospice or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Roz was born in Flint, MI on July 23, 1932, daughter of the late Frank and Regina (Konieczka) Urban. She married Alvin “Al” Larson on April 24,1954 and he preceded her in death on November 12, 2015. Roz retired from Buick Engineering after 32 years. She owned and operated Larson’s ACE Hardware in downtown Davison with her husband Al and son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Marti. The biggest joy of her life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Rosalyn is survived by her son, Dave (Marti); grandchildren, Melissa Steffler and Melanie (Brian Steckel) Larson; great-grandchildren, Michael, George, Evelyn, Grey, Laura, Susan, Cecilia, and Madison; siblings, Geraldine Cherveny, Donald (Sharon) Urban and Marcia Collard; many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by daughter, Paula; sister, Betty (Patrick) Ryan, brothers-in law, Frank Cherveny and William Collard. The family would like to give a special thank you to all the wonderful staff (particularly those who treated Roz like one of their own) at Devonshire Senior Living in Lapeer and Residential Home Health and Residential Hospice.
