BRANDON, James S. “Jim” - Of Grand Blanc, age 80, died Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Dr. Max B. Hayden officiating.
Entombment in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Visitation 5pm-8pm Friday and 11am Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
James was born in Clarkton, Missouri on September 2, 1942 the son of the late John Brandon and Madge (Thornberry) Caldwell. Jim worked at General Motors as a Supervisor for many years. He was a member of the Atlas Valley County Club and the Grand Blanc Huntsmen Club. Jim obtained his pilot’s license and took many trips flying. He enjoyed golfing, fly fishing and tying, sailing and boating. Above all else, he loved being a grandpa.
Surviving are children, Jean Wooley, Kellie (Aaron) Johnson, Kyle Brandon and Joel (Hannah) Brandon;
8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren;
brother, John Brandon and sister, Sue Cordero;
and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Nolff, step-father, Harold Caldwell and sister, Peggy Wiskur.
