STEWART, Deborah – of Clio, age 73, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Hurley Medical Center. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, Michigan 48423. Visitation on Monday, October 6, 2025, from 4-7 PM and Tuesday, one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10 AM. A Rosary will be prayed at 6 PM on Monday, October 6, 2025, at the funeral home. Interment at Southern Cemetery in Central Lake, Michigan.
Deborah was born in Flint, Michigan on September 8, 1952, the daughter of the late Richard and Ruth (Payne) Shawl. She married Jeffrey Stewart on June 6, 1980, in Toledo, Ohio. Deborah retired from Flint Metal Fab after 30 years of dedicated service. Family was always at the center of her life, and she took the greatest pride in her loved ones. She enjoyed tending her flower gardens, watching hummingbirds, and traveling Up North to pick cherries. Deborah found joy in reading and treasured her weekly adventures with “the girls.” Deborah was selfless, kind, and strong—a woman who never complained and always put others first. Her legacy of love, strength, and kindness will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Deborah is survived by loving husband, Jeffrey P. Stewart; children: Jeffrey T. (Andrea) Stewart, Daniel Jason Stewart, Shannon Marie Stewart; grandchildren: Makenzie Riddle, Makayla Riddle, Marissa Riddle, Jeffrey P. Stewart, Peter Edmund Stewart, Anastasia Stewart, Kade Stewart, Kendall Stewart; sisters, Yvonne Harris and Lisa Kenny; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by brother, Richard John Shawl.
