ANDREWS, Donna J. – Of Flint, age 91, died Friday, October 9, 2020
at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Ron Scott officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contribution to Bibles International.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Monday and 1 p.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Donna was born in Pickford Township, Michigan on September 13, 1929, the daughter of the late Norman and Mary Jane McDowell and was a resident of the Flint area since 1947. She married George Andrews Jr. in 1952.
She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
She worked at Walter Winchester after coming to Flint in 1947 and then as Secretary at Riverdale Baptist Church for 24 years, retiring in 1987.
She was a volunteer at Krapohl Senior Citizen Center.
Surviving are 2 children, Mary Jane Andrews of Burton,
David and wife Kathy of Davison;
6 grandchildren, Sarah (Matt), Zachary, Matthew (Margaret), Dion (Anna), Calvin and Kip (Lindsey);
8 great-grandchildren;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996, George J. Andrews, Jr.; son, George III in 2020; her parents and step-mother, Jenny McDowell and sister, Loraine McDowell.
