Carol Ann Conn of Flint, formerly of Burton, age 86, died Tuesday May 6, 2025 at her residence. Cremation has taken place in accordance with her wishes. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm Friday May 23, 2025 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church(404 Dayton St. Davison), Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski, Celebrant. A private family inurnment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Family will receive visitors 1 hour prior to services at the church. Contributions in Carol's memory can be made to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church or the Alzheimer Foundation.
Carol was born in Flint, Michigan on February 12, 1939, to Valentine and Alice (Blaska) Gierok. She spent most of her life in the Burton area. She graduated from Bentley Schools in 1959. She married Dale Conn on December 20, 1958. He passed away on March 10, 2019. Carol loved playing Bingo, Euchre, and softball for many years. She cared deeply for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, appreciating the many pictures they sent her via Snapchat. She was a devout woman of faith and an esteemed member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Burton.
Surviving Carol are children: Michael Conn and wife Marcey Clark-Conn, Mary Michelle “Shelly” Conn- Wallace and husband Daniel Wallace, Susan Conn-Thorpe and husband Bill Thorpe, and James Conn. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Matthew Conn, Monica Conn-Gray and husband Cory Gray, Maria Conn, Erin Thorpe-Howard and husband Bronson Howard, Danielle Wallace-Paul and husband Kenneth Paul, Hayley Wallace, Joshua Wallace, and great grandchildren; Shelby Conn, Natalie Paul, Wesley Paul, and soon to arrive baby girl Howard. Carol also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her brothers: Robert Gierok, Jackie Gierok, and sister Mary Tharpe.
