HAGLUND, Michael – of Davison, age 74, passed away on January 2, 2022, at Ascension Genesys Hospital. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 3222 S. Genesee Rd., Burton; Pastor Mark Matheny officiating. Burial will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-7 PM Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
Michael was born in Royal Oak, Michigan on February 15, 1947, son of Robert and Catherine Haglund. He married Barbara Hiznay on August 26, 1965, in Rochester, Michigan. Michael worked for General Motors for 37 years before retiring in 2006. Mike enjoyed woodworking, hunting, watching and making friendly wagers on Tigers games with his best friend Greg West, and playing cards with his sister and brother-in-law. He especially loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and extended family.
Michael is survived by his wife, Barbara (Hiznay); sons, Douglas Haglund (Lynn) of Davison, Thomas Haglund (Alaina) of Davison, daughter, Sarah Wood (Eric) of Millington; grandsons, Brandon (Becca) and Nicholas Haglund; fur baby, Megan; grand-puppies, Morgan and Mazie; great-grand puppies, Toby and Dozer; many other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Catherine Haglund, and son, David Haglund.
