WHITE, Delbert Leon – of Arizona City, Arizona, age 76, died Saturday, December 17, 2022, at his residence. Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Friday, December 30, 2022, at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor John Southern officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 3PM until 8PM at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Clio Church of Christ or the American Cancer Society.
Delbert was born June 23, 1946, in Flint, Michigan to the late Albert and Ethel (Adkins) White. He grew up in Flint, Michigan and graduated from Bendle High School with the class of 1965. He proudly served his country in the US Army from 1965 to 1968 in Vietnam and repaired damaged Huey Helicopters. On April 15, 2000, he married Susan Smith in Clio, Michigan. Prior to his retirement in 2002, Delbert worked for Fisher Body until it closed in 1987, then went onto Delphi-GM at Plant 2 as a Forklift Driver with 30 years of service. He was a member of the Clio Church of Christ, Casa Grande Church of Christ and helped out at the churches with many different projects. Delbert was a member of the DAV and the American Legion. He enjoyed walking, WWE wrestling, baking cookies for friends and family, and loved donuts and pies. Delbert never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone out. He liked to travel with his wife and always drove everywhere they traveled. Delbert was a handyman and liked working on cars, he could fix anything.
Surviving are: Wife, Susan White; Children, Jeffrey (Kathleen) White, Jill (Brian) Kaake, Tanya (Terence) Brown, Mike (Rachel) Robinson, Lynda Robinson; Grandchildren, Jeffrey, Tyler, Jessica, Ian (Tierra), Natasha (Ryan), Antaveus, Zyaire, Andrea (Rafael), Hunter, and honorary granddaughter, Rosie; 5 Great Grandchildren; Siblings, Karen (George) Wakefield, David White, Shirley (Roger) Campbell, Janice (Billy) Berry, Richard (Margaret) White, Shari (Bill) Goodchild, Rick (Linda) Smith; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Brothers, Robert White, Albert White; Close Friends, Robert Lydon, Helen Sutliff, Ross Turner.
