Life’s Reflections of Evan

Memories are treasures no one can steal. Death is a heartache no one can heal. Some may forget that you are gone, but we will remember no matter how long. We miss you more. Your
loving smile, your gentle face.

Evan Darnell Wilder was born May 5, 1967 in Flint, Michigan to Rose Wilder and the late John Bishop Jr. He was the eldest of 9 siblings.

Evan attended Northwestern High School in Flint, Michigan and graduated in 1986. Evan was the ultimate entrepreneur. If it could be sold, he would sell it. Anything from candy to clothes. He had a great love for cars, especially classics and even owned a couple. Evan had a great admiration for dogs and has owned many. He always was sure to have one close. He considered himself a master on the grill and was always ready to throw some flat bone ribs on the grill for his mother. Evan was always willing to help others in anyway possible and had a great love for children.

Evan was preceded in death by his father John Bishop, Jr, his son Evan Dye, 2 brothers Marcus Bishop & Jermaine Wilder, his maternal grandparents Pair Lee & George Wilder, paternal grandparents Virgie and John Van Bishop Sr. and 3 uncles, Bobby & Clark Bishop and James Wilder.

He leaves to cherish his memories his mother Rose Wilder, wife Gretchen Rye-Wilder, 9 children; Tanjanique Dye (Shauntel), Lanasha Davis (Demetrius), Elizabeth_Hicks__, Kaliah Wilder, Dezarae, Shaquetta, Ramona & Chris Hunter;1 grand-child, Lei’den Dye; 3 sisters, Laura Wilder-Payne (Jimmy), Johnnie Bishop, Shante Wilder; 4 brothers, Deandre, Marlon, Marquell and Tyrell Wilder; 5 aunts; Carolyn Williams, Mae Bishop, Brenda Gaddy, Laverne Wofford, and Debbie Jones; 4 uncles, George Mays, Robert “Pete” Wilder, Ricky and Clark Bishop. Johnny Bolden also played a vital role in his life. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Evan had a special bond with all of his Youngblood family.
