Mattison, Lois Reba (Snodgrass) age 89, of Linden, died peacefully Sunday May, 8 surrounded by family. Lois was born in Coalwood, West Virginia to Fred and Mable Snodgrass in 1933. She was lovingly cared for by her beloved grandparents Oliver and Gertrude Snodgrass. Lois married her sweetheart Billy (William) Wohlford. They had 6 children Saundra Eneix (2 children and 2 grandchildren), Donald (Sherry; 2 children and 7 grandchildren), Rhonda (Dale Forbes, 6 children and 14 grandchildren), Martha (Michael Savage, 7 step children), Tina (Dan McMunigal, 5 children and 10 grandchildren), and Wendy (Richard Flamm; 2 children and 5 grandchildren). Lois and Billy moved to Flint Michigan in the early 1950’s. Lois retired from AC Spark Plug. She also owned and operated the Argentine Lighthouse restaurant and The Lost Sock laundromat in Linden, MI. where she adored her customers. She loved bowling, golfing, NASCAR, cooking, her dear friends at Eastern Star, and most of all, spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by William Wohlford; Dino (LaVaughn) Mattison; special friend, Calvin Hahn; daughter, Martha Savage; sister, Mary Virginia (Gerald Wohlford); brother, James Snodgrass and brother, Eddie Snodgrass. She will be missed terribly by sister Francis of Akron, OH, brother John (Dawn) of Bristol, TN and sister in law Ada (James) of Arlington, TX, sister Bonnie (Daniel Attwell) of Virginia, Linda Bies of Kentucky, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Burial will follow in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Tuesday and 10AM until the time of service Wednesday. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com |
