HEWITT, David Gordon – of Clio, age 77, died December 14, 2020 at Ascension Genesys Hospital of Grand Blanc. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place and no service will be held at this time. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.
David was born January 13, 1943 in Frankfort, Michigan to the late Gordon and Doris (Norman) Hewitt. He grew up in Petoskey, Michigan and graduated from Petoskey High School with the class of 1961. David served his country in the US Navy for two years. On July 17, 1981 he married Barbara Logan in Flint, Michigan. David enjoyed working on old cars, hunting and fishing. He also loved spending time with his friends and family.
Surviving are: Wife of 39 years, Barbara Hewitt; Children, Lyle (Angela) Hewitt, David (Monica) Hewitt, Carl Blankenship; 15 Grandchildren; 7 Great Grandchildren; Siblings, Ronald (Jill) Hewitt, Alan (JoAnn) Hewitt; several nieces and nephews.
