Earnie was born January 8, 1950 in Flint, Michigan, to Ralph and Alma (Ingram) Munsey. He graduated from Mt. Morris High School in 1968. Earnie then proudly served his country in the Navy as a boiler technician during the Vietnam War. He married Sharon Magnus, the love of his life, May 19, 1973, and they have two beautiful daughters, Heidi Munsey and Kerry Munsey who he loved so much and was so proud of. He attended New Covenant Church in Clio for many years. Then Covid hit and he could no longer attend in-person due to health issues.

Earnie worked from the time he was 16 years old with his first job being a gas station attendant. He worked at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery for 35 years. He treated each burial and each cremation as if it was his mother he was laying to rest. He took care of many family members and friends markers keeping the grass trimmed around them. He worked 2 and 3 jobs for many years in order to send his daughters to college which included Reds Service, Eastern Asphalt, Roadside Assistance and lawn mowing. Their education was important to him. God blessed Earnie with a job at Genesee Intermediate School District as a second career which extended for 10 years. Every place he worked he made wonderful friendships . Earnie was a very hard worker and if he put his mind to something he did it.

Earnie liked wood-working and did a beautiful job finishing all the woodwork and doors in his family home. He loved fishing, especially in the early morning just as the sun was coming up on the smooth-as-glass water and a little mist coming up on the Tittabawassee River in Gladwin. He liked old classic cars and always dreamed of owning a 55 Chevy Impala. He enjoyed car racing, camping, and spending time with family and friends. He was pretty witty at times and made up little rhymes to make others laugh. His dog, Tucker, brought a lot of joy to him in his retirement years, and he loved him so much. Earnie touched many lives and will be greatly missed.

Surviving are his wife Sharon of 50 years, daughters Heidi Munsey and Kerry Munsey, brother-in-law Ron (Lynette) Magnus, nieces Tammy Cervantes and Allison Magnus, nephews Nick (Michelle)Magnus, Andrew (Jennifer) Magnus, great -niece Addison Magnus, great-nephews Collin Magnus and Carter Magnus.
