EARNS, James Eric – age 56 of Burton, passed away peacefully at his residence with his family by his side on Saturday, December 6, 2014. Private services will be held at a later date. James was born August 21, 1958 in Flint, MI to Gerald and Marie (Blais) Earns Sr. He married Pamela Bazzell on December 24, 1977 in Burton, MI. James worked for General Motors and retired in 2008. He loved listening to music, hunting, and fishing. Most of all he loved his sons and grandchildren. In fact, nothing was more important to him than his family. Surviving are his wife, Pamela; sons, Eric Earns and Katie, Jerade (Jessica) Earns; grandchildren, Gavin, Evan, and Jasmine; brother, Gerald Earns Jr. and Brenda; sisters, Theresa (Harold) Skinner, Nancy Turnbow, and Sue Moore and Andy; mother and father-in-law, Russell and Colleen Bazzell; sister-in-law, Charlotte and husband Les; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald (Marie) Earns Sr.; and brother-in-law, Keith. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Nadar and Dr. Nikolakeas for all of the wonderful care they provided. Also, a special note of gratitude to Absolute Homecare and Hospice, especially Sara, Janis, Kim, and Mike. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send a plant or make a contribution to the family.
