Henry, Samuel Patrick, age 94 of Grand Blanc, died peacefully surrounded by his family on June 30, 2023. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Rossell Funeral Home. Rev. Joseph Novak will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home until the time of the service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Friends of the Flushing Area Library, 120 N. Maple St. Flushing, Michigan 48433.
Pat was born in Flint, Michigan, the son of Patrick and Ruth Henry. He graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1946 and enlisted in the United States Navy. Then, upon his honorable discharge, returned home and began working at Buick Motor Division. After graduation from General Motors Institute, he began a career in Manufacturing Management at Buick that would last until his retirement. He enjoyed building and creating stained glass lamps, as well as traveling, hunting and fishing with family and friends. Pat was a member of Tau Beta Pi and the 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Freemasons.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Betty; brother, J. Richard, infant brother, John; and in-laws. Pat is survived by three children; four grandchildren and their spouses; sister-in-law; niece and nephews. |
