Robert Carl Hunter, beloved husband, father, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2024 at the age of 81 surrounded by his family.
Robert was born on July 4, 1942 in Flint to Thomas and Leota Hunter(Freese). After 34 years he retired from GM.
Robert was known for his unwavering dedication to his family and friends. He was a loving husband to Mary Hunter for 55 years, and a devoted father. He cherished spending time with his family, sharing stories around the dinner table, or attending his children's and grandchildren's events.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Mary Hunter; his children, Thomas (Bridget) Hunter Andrea (Jassin) Yacks; his grandchildren, Hannah (Jesus) Medrano, Lilianna Hunter, Jaya Yacks and Logan Yacks; Great grandchildren, Everly Greenwood, Kinsley Hunter, Charlotte Medrano; his sibling, Jeannine Barker; and many other family members and friends who will
miss him dearly.
Robert proceeds in death by his parents Thomas and Leota Hunter and brother Thomas (Butch) Hunter.
A celebration of Robert's life will be held on March 1st at Blessed Sacrament Parish of Burton at 11:00am. Burial following at Great Lakes cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation in Robert's memory. |
