BOCK, Shirley (Ayliffe) Ash, of Davison, 93 years old, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021 when her favorite song, Sentimental Journey, played in the background. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service at a later date. Shirley was born in Flint, MI on September 15, 1927 to Lloyd and Sophia (MacMillan) Ayliffe. She attended Flint Northern High School class of 1945. She spent most of her youth and early years at the family home on Bass Lake. Shirley was at bartender at Nightingale Lanes and Hank and Don’s Bar for many years, retiring from retail sales at Belk-Lindsey’s in Florida. She had the Ayliffe sense of humor, dropping funny one-liners at any time. She loved seeing her grand, and great-grandchildren. Shirley is survived by children: Barbara Ash McCrea, Jeffery (Rose) Ash, Kristine (Tom) Hankerd; grandchildren: Rachel McCrea, Weston and Connor Cowan, Eric Payea, Lauren, Skyler, and McKal Hankerd; great-grandchildren: Charlie and Cooper Cowan, Tristan and Olivia; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by dearly missed son, Randall Ash; grandchildren, Andrea Ash and Travis Payea; siblings: Lloyd, Howard, Donald, Virginia, and Richard. The family would like to thank Jen from Residential Hospice, and her favorite employees at Suncrest in Lapeer. Shirley would love if you have a drink or a donut in her memory |
