Walter H. Head, age 96, of Flushing, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 in Flushing, Michigan. Walter was born on October 16, 1926 to the late Ira and Edna Head in Flint, Michigan. Walter married the love of his life Clara Lewis on July 9, 1949 in Flint Michigan. They were married for 74 years. Walter proudly served his country in WWII, stationed in Hawaii. Walter and Clara loved to travel, before his passing they traveled to every state in the United States. They also spent many winters in the sunny state of Florida. Walter was a talented artist and was a member of three different art clubs in Flint. Walter was a wonderful man and he will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Clara; children: Gary (Shelley) Head, Claudia (Douglas) Blandford; grandsons: Ryan (Dawnyale) Seymour, Blake (Sarah) Head; great grand daughter, Avennell Seymour; and two sisters. Private family services will be held. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to a charity of their choice in memory of Walter.
