SEYMOUR, Gary Lee – Of Linden, age 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 27, 2025.
Funeral service will be held 11am Saturday, February 1, 2025 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
The Reverend Tracie Little officiating.
Visitation 4-8pm Friday and 10am Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Gary Lee Seymour, Born on May 5, 1953, a graduate of the class of 1971 from Ainsworth High School. He married his high school sweetheart, Diana (Bouchard), on July 21,1973 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and enjoyed 51 years together. Gary spent 37 years working for General Motors in Flint, MI as an assembler and electrical repairman.
He cherished his family above all else, finding joy in simple moments, time spent together and lifelong traditions. He was known for his warmth, kindness and affection. He had a passion for woodworking and anything electrical. He was an exceptional handyman and known for saying, “I can fix that.” He took pride in home projects with Diana being the visionary and Gary making it happen. His craftsmanship, attention to detail and perfectionism were unmatched.
He is survived by his loving wife, Diana Seymour; daughter Katrina (William) Gleason; son Michael (Amber) Seymour; five grandchildren Brennen Gleason, Alanna (Bradley) Bauer, Garrett Gleason, Payton and Gage Seymour; and numerous extended family and friends.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Eileen Seymour; sister Donna Beutler. Also father and mother-in-law, James and Charolette Bouchard.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Kipke, Dr. Reulbach and infusion nursing staff at Genesee Hematology – Oncology as well as Dori from Compassus.
