KELLEY, Evelyn Margaret (Boegner) – loving matriarch of the Boegner clan, passed away at age 82, on Saturday, October 1, 2022. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Chaplain Eric Maynard officiating. Interment immediately following the service in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-7 PM Tuesday, October 4, 2022 and 10-11 AM Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, we invite you to make a donation to Shriners Hospitals for Children, donate.lovetotherescue.org, or Leader Dogs for the Blind, leaderdog.org/donate, in Evey’s memory.
Evey was born in Flint, MI on February 19, 1940, daughter of the late Carl and Gertrude (Eckley) Boegner. She was a lifelong part of Kearsley, graduating in 1958 and working in various roles within the district, even beyond her retirement in 1998. Evey raised two children of her own and had a hand in raising many more, earning her the affectionate title of “Nanny”. She loved to be busy: always crafting, attending various social clubs, gambling, visiting her family and friends, or “going North”. Evey was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church.
Evey will be sorely missed and is survived by her fur baby, Biscuit; son, Rich (Roberta) Kelley; daughter, Sandie (Jim) Dameron; 2 grandchildren, Emily Kelley and Anthony Kelley; 3 siblings, Elsie Watts, Janet (Benny) Adams, and Eugene (Vivian) Boegner; sidekick/niece, Deborah Heavner; and many nephews, nieces, family members, and friends too numerous to list, but not forgotten. She was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Gertrude Boegner; 5 siblings, Alberta Fisher, Ernest (Dorothy) Boegner, Joseph (Barb) Boegner, Wayne (Deanna) Boegner, and Norman (Clara) Boegner; brother-in-law, James Watts; and bestie, Janie Jansen.
