EDWARDS, Robert John – Of Royal Oak, Michigan, age 82, died Sunday, May 8, 2022 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2022 St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 2143 South Center Road, Burton,
Father Matthew-Peter Butrie officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church.
Visitation 10 a.m. Thursday at church until the time of the service.
Robert was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 25, 1940, the son of Robert Francis and Irene (Dostie) Edwards.
He was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Burton.
Robert was a caring husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was a faithful church member and continuously sought further education about his faith.
Robert was known for his love of the outdoors and regularly shared this passion with his friends and family. His ideal day was spent fishing on the boat, followed by a family/friend fish fry.

Kim (Bruce) McElhaney,
Theresa Edwards,
Catherine (Dylan) Bunkosky,
Bob (Cheryl) Edwards,
Anne Marie (Father John) Wehling and
Mathew (Stacy) Manning;
15 grandchildren;
6 great-grandchildren;
brother, Steven (Linda) Kirksey;
many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Barbara, Mary and Sharon.
