KUKIN, Steven Michael - Of Genesee, age 83, died Sunday, August 8, 2021 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Friday, August 13, 2021 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley Street, Flint,
Father Thomas Firestone officiating.
Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation 11am-8pm Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Thursday evening at the funeral home. Visitation 10am Friday at church until the time of the Mass.
Contributions may be made to the American heart Association or the Catholic Diocese.
Steven was born in Flint, Michigan on June 23, 1938, the son of the late Joseph and Emma (Pitock) Kukin. Steven retired from GM after 35 plus years. He started in the Tool and Die Department than later was involved in the CAD program which he enjoyed until retirement. He was passionate about books, math, space, anything techy, cards- especially bridge. Steven was a generous soul with a silly sense of humor, enjoyed telling stories of his life and loved his family. He will be missed by many.
Surviving are daughters, Lynn (Al) Vis, Lisa (Tim) Swortwood, Barb Foster and Denise (Chad) Cook;
Grandchildren, Skye, Jazmine, Katie, Judy, Amber, Faith, Trevyn, and Nathan;
Great-grandchild, Calvin;
Sisters, Olga and Violet;
And many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Martha.
