CHANDLER, Jewell F. - Of Gladwin, age 98, died Friday, May 28, 2021 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held 11am Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Reverend Jeff England officiating.
Burial in Ortonville Cemetery.
Visitation 10am Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Jewell was born in Willow Springs, Missouri on February 12, 1923, the daughter of the late Ed and Ella (Lilly) Horak. Jewell served her country in the United States Navy as an airplane mechanic during World War II. She was a teacher and also a Registered Nurse. Jewell was heavily involved in serving her church and the Lord.
Surviving are daughters, Mary (John) Dir, Sandra (Leslie) Lied and Tina Gledhill;
8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren;
and 1 niece.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert, 2 brothers,
and sister-in-law, Evelyn.
