RIVARD, Betty Louise (Mayball) – Of Grand Blanc, age 92, died Friday, January 3, 2025 at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital.
Funeral service will be held 2pm Friday, January 10, 2025 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Visitation 2-8pm Thursday and 12pm Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Betty was born in Goodrich, Michigan on February 25, 1932, the daughter of the late Gus and Carrie (Howard) Mayball. Betty graduated from Grand Blanc High School, Class of 1950. She married Joseph Rivard on May 26, 1950 at Grand Blanc United Methodist Church. Betty was a member of Grand Blanc United Methodist Church and played the organ for several years there. Betty loved traveling, shopping, square dancing and spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are children, Michael Rivard (Janine Cool), Dian Ross and Gary Rivard;
Grandchildren, Maria Ross, Douglas (Jessica) Ross, Michelle Rivard, Mallory Rivard and Erica Rivard (Avery Jones);
Great-grandchildren, Cyrus and Wesley Rivard;
Several nieces and nephews;
and Betty’s best friend, Barbara Allan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, son-in-law, Gerald Ross, and in-laws, Helen and Joseph Rivard.
