Skarbek, Eugene G. of Flushing, age 78, died Saturday, December 15, 2018, at home. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Robert Catholic Church. Fr. Anthony Brooks will officiate. Burial will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church until the time of the Mass.
Eugene was born in Flint, Michigan on June 18, 1940, the son of Ignace and Valeria (Delecki) Skarbek. He was a farmer his entire life. Eugene enjoyed hunting and fishing and in his younger years, he enjoyed bowling.
Eugene is survived by his brother, David Skarbek; sister-in-law, Valeria Skarbek; nephews, Phil and wife Kelly Skarbek, Chris and wife Stephanie Skarbek; nieces, Kathleen, Jennifer, Valeria; and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jerry and Donald Skarbek.
