STRUCK, Margaret Mary (Zajdlik) – of Flint, MI, age 92, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2026 quietly at McLaren Hospital with family by her side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11AM Saturday, September 26,2026, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5199 Richfield Road, Flint, MI 48506; Rev. Fr. Roy Horning celebrant. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 11 AM until 7 PM on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and one hour prior to Mass on Saturday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed 6 PM Friday at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Parish, in Margaret’s memory.
Margaret was born in Chesaning, MI on December 12, 1933, the daughter of the late Karel and Mary (Santrucek) Zajdlik. She graduated from Chesaning High Schol in 1952. While in high school she worked at Schultz Pharmacy in Chesaning and then Universal in Owosso.
She married Floyd Struck on October 8, 1955, at Our Lady Catholic Church in Chesaning. Margaret was a stay-at-home mom who enjoyed raising her children, bowling, golfing, doing crafts, and of course dancing with the love of her life every chance she could. Margaret and Floyd had a craft business for 20 years, she was an amazing painter and artist.
She was well known in her neighborhood and beyond for her living room window painting. Margaret would paint a scene of the Holy Family for 67 years consecutively through 2023.
Maragret was a classic bowler for many years. She worked 27 years beside Floyd on hole 13 at the Buick Open and was also a golfer herself on many golf leagues. She was a seamstress for many years making clothes for her children and reupholstering furniture. Margaret made many baby quilts over the years for family for their first-born child with hand embroidered faces and hand quilted by her. She loved her gardens and being outdoors.
She was very active in Holy Rosary School and Parish. A member of the booster club arranging casino nights and dances to raise money for Holy Rosary School. Anyone that knows her knew of her love for baking. Most passing dishes were always a dessert, she loved baking cookies for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Margaret is survived by her children; Sandy (Steve) Mastin, Ron (Beth) Struck, Bill Struck, Gary (Renee) Struck; grandchildren, Zachariah (Ali) Mastin, Selena (Michael) Fournier, Jeremiah Mastin, Rachel (Chris) Jones, Christopher (Ashley) Struck, Amanda (Chris) Curtis, Danielle (Zac) Snell, Kellie (Brett) Taljonik, Thomas Struck, Steven Struck; great-grandchildren, Hunter, London, Aubrey, Colin, Landin, Alaina, Emmett, Charlotte, Cole, Lillian, Finley, and Lola. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; brothers, Carl and Hank; sisters, Helen and Alice.
