Leah was born in Flint, Michigan on January 11, 1943, the daughter of Harland and Lucille Roberts.
She graduated from Southwestern High School in 1961.
On October 12, 1963 she married her high school sweetheart, James Jacobs and they had been married 52 years, until his passing in 2016.
She was a member of Westside Baptist Church.
Leah was a hardworking, Christian woman, who devoted her life to her family. She and her husband were a beautiful team. They owned and operated a family business for over 50 years. They worked hard and enjoyed the life they shared.
She was a master of home projects, there was nothing she couldn’t do. She was the family plumber, contractor, groundskeeper and often mechanic. When she set her mind to it, nothing was impossible. One of her most memorable projects was when the grandchildren wanted a place to swim. Leah bought a backhoe, taught herself how to use it and dug a beautiful pond the family enjoyed for many years.
She will be remembered by her unique laugh, that was heard often and her remarkable ability to make friends wherever she went. Her kindness and generosity made the world a better place.
We are grateful God chose her as our Matriarch and are comforted to know through her faith we will be reunited once again.
Surviving are daughters, Dawn Jacobs of Traverse City, Marcy O'Brien of Flushing,
grandchildren, Cassy Bosley, Kyle Bosley, Katie (Trent) Bosley, Amanda Jacobs and Bailey (Clay) Jacobs-Hart;
great-grandchildren, Logan, Hadley, Sophia, Dalanie, Emersyn, Aisley and Aleah;
sister, Nancy (Dave) Kummer;
brother-in-law, Larry Carriere;
