MCCOMBS, Donald - Of Burton, age 83, died Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Monday, November 9, 2020 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Pastor Aaron Whitman officiating.
Burial in Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation 11am Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Don was born in Harlan, Kentucky on May 20, 1937 the son of the late Joseph and Opal (Combest) McCombs. He was a Minister of Music and served the Lord faithfully for his whole life. Don loved to sing in the choir at church. He was also a Referee and umpired his last game this past September at the age of 83. Don also enjoyed golf and hunting.
Surviving are wife of 63 years, Shari McCombs;
children, Vicki (Jim) Slayton and Keith (Nadine) McCombs;
grandchildren, Chrissy (Josh) Fuller, Cortney (Paul) Vanaman and Robert Slayton;
great-grandchildren, Maddie Fuller and Lyla Vanaman;
and sister, Karen Neubauer.
