UPTIGROVE, Marcia Lynn (Dunkel) - Age 79, of Flushing, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024. A funeral ceremony will take place at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 19, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Glenn Tatterson will preside with burial following at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM Sunday, August 18 and again from 10:00 AM until the time of service Monday. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Flint Baptist Temple, 1430 E Bristol Rd, Burton, MI 48529.
Marcia was born on November 6, 1944 in Flint, the daughter of Walter and Mildred (Hiller) Dunkel. She graduated from Grand Blanc High School. Marcia and Rodney Uptigrove were united in marriage on February 14, 1960 in Flint. Sadly he preceded her in death on June 19, 2024. She was a faithful member of the Flint Baptist Temple for many years. In her free time, Marcia enjoyed spending time with her husband and family.
She is survived by her loving son, Stephen (Nancy) Uptigrove; grandchildren, Amanda (Jacob) Brown, Brandi Uptigrove, Sean (Susana) Uptigrove and Ashleigh Uptigrove; and 5 great-grandchildren.
