ALARIE, Cammie Sue – Of Flint, age 90, died Monday, February 28, 2022 surrounded by her family.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Deacon Ron Kenney officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the American Diabetes Association or American Cancer Society.
Visitation 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday and 1 p.m. Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Cammie was born in Lepanto, Arkansas on January 15, 1932, the daughter of the late Charles and Mittie (Alewine) Peeper.
She was a former member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and was a greeter.
She was a wonderful baker and cook; everyone enjoyed her hospitality and generosity.
She loved home decorating.
Mrs. Alarie was employed by Higgins Interiors and the Scotten Shop.
Cammie had a beautiful smile and was always smiling. She loved everyone she met and everyone loved her.
Surviving are daughter, Deborah (Jim) Middleton;
son, John Cade (Marie) Smith;
4 grandchildren, Andrea (Shawn) Gage, Allison Middleton (Michael Lonsberry), Ashley Smith and Courtney (Matt) Houtman;
2 great-granddaughters, Addison Mae Gage and Collins Marie Houtman;
one brother, Coy (Betty) Peeper;
several nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Reynolds Smith. Husband, Harold A. Alarie, 6 brothers; 6 sisters and her special friend, Pete.
The family would like to thank Cammie’s Doctors; Dr. Atty, Dr. Eagle, Dr. Rivera, Dr. VanDuyne, Dr. Zaki, Dr. Amani Hassan; the caregivers and special friend, Charlie and all that were so supportive of her over the years sending notes gifts, flowers and candy.
