WALSER, Donald A. – of Clio, age 82, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at his residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at SS. Charles and Helena Catholic Church – 2300 E. Vienna St., in Clio. Rev. Fr. Kenneth Coughlin officiating. Burial to follow in Flushing City Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Monday from 5PM until 8PM, and at the church on Tuesday from 10AM until the time of Mass at 111AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County or the Wounded Warrior Project.

Don was born May 31, 1939, in Owosso, Michigan to the late Arthur and Agnes (Gall) Walser. He graduated from Flushing High School in 1957. Don married Sharon Thomas on July 2, 1960, at St. Robert Catholic Church in Flushing. Mr. Walser retired from Saginaw Malleable Iron with 42 years of service. Don was a former member of St. Robert Catholic Church in Flushing and St. Mary’s in Mt. Morris; he most recently became a member of SS. Charles and Helena Catholic Church in Clio. He was also a member of the Clio Country Club. Don enjoyed golfing, bowling, woodworking, traveling, and building model cars and airplanes.

Surviving are: Loving wife, Sharon Walser; Daughter, Cheryl Catloth; Son, Jeffrey (Jana) Walser; Grandchildren: Jordan (Staci) Catloth, Kirsten Catloth, Mitchell Walser, and Megan Walser; Great grandchildren: Jameson, Emerie and Ezra Catloth; Brother, Peter (Janet) Walser; Many nieces, nephews, other loving family members and dear friends.
