Ronald W. Dowen, died on August 6, 2023 in Saginaw at Health Source.

He was born in Flint, MI on September 21, 1948, to Clare and Sally (Diehl) Dowen. He Graduated from New Lothrop High School. After school he went to work for General Motors for 38 years. After retiring from GM he worked for Northwoods in Pinconning in the hunting and fishing department.

Ronald was a man of many passions, which included fishing, hunting, riding his Harley Davidson, and camping. His yearly fishing trip to Canada with his buddies and hunting trips with his family were highlights of the year. He served his community as a part of the Twin Twp Ambulance and was a reserve officer for the Chesaning and Saginaw sheriffs departments. Ronald was happily married to Darlene Dowen since February 11, 1978, who survives him. He is also survived be Children Jon (Kathy) Streng and Pat (Sandy) Streng; Grandchildren Jesse (Lindsie) Streng, Emily (Alex) Bixler, Dylan Gary and Morgan Gary; Great Grandchildren Major, Emery and Rune; Siblings Sheley (Dick) Good, Ginger (Andy) Fisher, Dixie (Phil) Landers, Gordan (Jean) Dowen and Darei Thompson.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two infant brothers.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, from 4 to 8PM at McGeehan Funeral Homes, Martin Chapel. A funeral service will be held the same day at 7PM.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the wishes of the family.
