LONG, Martha Ann (Kochaney) – of Davison, MI, age 72, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023. A Funeral Liturgy will be held 1 PM Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Fr. Denis Spitzley officiating. Interment immediately following the Liturgy in St. John Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Monday, January 9, 2023 and 12-1 PM Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home. A Scripture Service will be held 6 PM Monday, January 9, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home.
Martha was born in Bay City, MI on October 19, 1950, daughter of late Robert and Virginia (Jean) Kochaney. She married Richard Long on January 8, 1971. Martha was a kind, generous person with a warm heart and was loved by all who met her. She loved caring for animals, planting flowers, playing music, teaching violin and had a wonderful creative talent. Martha received an Associates of Music Degree and an Associates of Dental Assisting Degree from Mott Community College. She enjoyed working for over 20 years as a Dental Assistant and achieved Emeritus Status in retirement.
Martha is survived by her loving and devoted husband Richard Long; her 2 daughters Jennifer Rizzardi and Rebecca McClain; her 4 grandchildren, Brooklyn McClain, Bailey McClain, Elizabeth Rizzardi and Emily Rizzardi; sister, Julie (Robert) Roehrig; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Virginia Kochaney.
