BROWN, Russell – of Davison, age 77, passed away March 1, 2022 at his residence. A Funeral Service will be held 12:30 PM Monday, March 7, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Curtis Lilly and Pastor David Miller officiating. Burial with Military Honors under the auspice of the Flint Det. #155 Marine Corp League at Great Lakes National Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 3-7 PM Sunday, March 6, 2022 and one hour prior to the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friendship Free Will Baptist Church.
Russell was born in North Wilkesboro, NC on September 21, 1944, son of the late Lonnie and Carrie Bell (Hincher) Brown. He married Barbara Asbury on July 8, 1967 in North Wilkesboro, NC. Russell’s favorite hobby was taking his granddaughters to lunch and taking a picture to put on Facebook. He attended all of their sporting events. Russell watched all sports but loved his North Carolina Tarheels. He enjoyed babysitting his grand dog, Steeler.
Russell is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughter, Devona von Daggenhausen; granddaughters, Allison and Kelsey von Daggenhausen; bonus son, Joshua Long; brothers, Paul (Vea) Brown, Harlin Brown, sister-in-law, Bobbie Jean Brown; many other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by brother, Bob Brown, sister-in-law, Mary Brown.
